JBL Quantum ONE review> One of the notable announcements of CES 2020 was the release of the JBL Quantum ONE PC gaming headset. JBL joins other premium gaming headset manufacturers by releasing its line. The JBL Quantum ONE is a versatile headset that works for every gaming format. However, due to the USB audio mixer with it, it’s a better PC headset than the console one. Their crisp sound, easy accessories usability, and a comfortable fit over the ears take this headset a step further.

A new challenger has entered the gaming headset ring with JBL Quantum ONE. That is a brand new flagship model of JBL’s new Quantum range audio options. JBL Quantum ONE price is 299.95 Dollars. For the price, JBL Quantum ONE offers an affordable studio-level sound.

It’s not just for one console; it’s interchangeable between Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. These game headsets will be adaptable, but you can play with both a 3.5mm headphone cable and a USB audio mixer included in the box. If you want wireless audio and spatial audio on every console you own while playing on a PC, then Quantum ONE is a great option.

JBL Quantum ONE Design

The look and feel of the headphones will impress you beyond the box. Despite the audio power packing on it, the JBL Quantum ONE feels light and comfortable over the head. Aesthetically, the smooth design of Quantum ONE is exciting. The JBL logo prominently displayed on both earphones. Plugging in the USB mixer and being illuminated with each letter in the spectrum only makes them more impressive.

It would be best if you calibrated the headset to your height. Its head tracker is a bit easier to calibrate. The headset has a button to calibrate the head tracking. That makes me think that this sonic drift is probably a more common problem that needs to be solved. The JBL Quantum ONE gamer headset is compatible with all consoles. That said, the 3.5mm headphone jack will allow voice chat on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

JBL’s Quantum Engine software works well enough as an easy way to customize your EQ, illuminate the headset. Also, more importantly, Quantum Sphere 360 uses built-in head tracking and a custom algorithm to create sound effects around it. However, it is more of a process than just hitting a switch.

Performance of game headsets

In terms of performance, the JBL Quantum ONE fits around our ears perfectly. It is most reminiscent of LucidSound LS50X by sealing the external audio. Also, the audio provides clear and concise details for the invisible customizable surround sound. JBL Quantum One is one of the best gaming headsets we’ve heard.

Quantum ONE’s spatial audio technology is undoubtedly significant. But it will not always match the direction in which I  confronted, which must have hurt the immersion. Its device has a small button that returns the feature to the center. So all we have to do is look straight ahead, touch the button, and fix the problem.

In-game audio always sounds incredible when it works properly. Its surroundings and spatial sounds are entirely intact. Its TalkThru feature worked well, which significantly reduces the background noise. You can chat with your friends on Discord. But minor hiccups could deter the JBL Quantum One gamers headset from being the best all-wide choice for consoles.

QuantumEngine Software

JBL has created a new configuration application, QuantumEngine, for the Quantum line of its gaming headsets. The app lets you adjust the audio mix to the headphones. It also helps save custom audio profiles as well as pre-settings available out of the box. The application required for Quantum One Because it allows you to calibrate the headset-tracking and spatial audio of the headset also allows configuring RGB light on cups.

Quantum Engine looks clean and easy to navigate. The fields of customization broken down, and each section fit into a single panel. There are still a surprisingly large number of settings to tweak. While watching Sphere360 spatial audio, you can adjust the position of your body height and head diameter virtual speakers to perfect how the simulated sound hits.

Our verdict

The JBL Quantum One is an incredible gaming headset. Although expensive, its powerful audio performance and functional features make it stand out with the best gaming headsets on the market. If you are a competitive gamer and do not need bells and whistles, you can choose the light wireless headset with great mic. Know more best headphone reviews Sony WF-SP800N review
