Sony WH-CH710N Wireless Headphones review

Sony WH-CH710N, Sony wireless headphones review

PROS.

  • Aesthetic slim and lightweight
  • Cheap for their feature set
  • adaptive noise cancellation technology
  • Powerful sound and 35 hours of battery life

CONS.

  • Mostly plastic build
  • No travelling case

Sony WH-CH710N wireless noise-cancelling headphones may be a more affordable option than Sony’s flagship WH-1000XM3 headphones. Sony WH-CH710N headphones come at half the price of the more affordable Sony WH-1000XM3 (Costs $349). The new WH-CH710N uses mostly plastic builds to reduce costs. They sound good and apply some adaptive noise cancellation technology. However, their overall noise reduction efficiency and most plastic build quality can be very desirable.

Sony WH-CH710N Noise-Canceling Headphones release date

In addition to the Sony WF-XB800 True Wireless Earbuds, the Sony WH-CH710N released in April 2020. Noise-cancelling headphones prove to be a decent time to release when everyone is working at home. In terms of price, the Sony WH-CH710N price $ 199 for a pair of over-ear headphones. They are mainly coming from a large, well-known company like Sony. Some people may be disappointed that these are not the Sony WH-1000XM4, but will be curious about when it will arrive. Unfortunately, Sony has not yet given us any information on when to expect them.

Sony WH-CH710N design

In terms of aesthetics, there is much to like about WH-CH710N. They look relatively slim and all-matte-black exterior for a pair of over-ear headphones. You will be surprised at how light these excellent kinds of headphones are. The sony headphone weighing 223g doesn’t put a ton of pressure on your head.

You have necessary control buttons for volume and play/pause on the right earcup. Along with this, you will also find noise controls and an ambient sound button. You can hold down the middle button to bring up your assistant. However, you cannot activate it merely by saying ‘Hey Siri’ or ‘OK, Google’ before it made into headphones. The left earcup has a 3.5mm Aux port, a power/pair button, and a USB Type-C port.Sony WH-CH710N headphone

Sony headphones make it ideal for frequent travellers. Inside its box, the accessories you’ll find are a super-short USB-to-USB C cable and a helper cable. Sony WH-CH710N also supports NFC, which is great for new Android devices. These headphones use Bluetooth 5.0 with support for SBC and AAC codecs. However, they don’t seem to support LDAC or aptX, which means you won’t get high-resolution audio support.

Sony headphone performance

We had a sense of the sound quality of the Sony WH-CH710N, making it sound powerful and easy to listen. They didn’t pend us on the bass (they’re not part of Sony’s extra bass series), and we heard a clear midrange. After listening to them for eight hours to three days a day, though, these views started to change. Durable and easy to listen to, the music slowly begins to lose its lustre. They do not provide the ultra-wide soundstage that usually lacks clarity.

Thatis probably because these are not high-res audio headphones. They do not support many HD codecs as the exception is AAC. If you don’t need exceptional clarity, you probably won’t remember their word. We use headphones to make several calls while testing these, and most agreed that they were transparent when they heard us.

Sony WH-CH710N Original noise cancellation is the best we’ve heard so far. That is more like noise reduction than a perfect cancellation and nowhere near a class-leader like the Sony WH-1000XM3 or the Bose 700. Of course, this expected in this price range. The cool thing about the Sony WH-CH710N is that they adapt to changing conditions. These can prevent the dull roar of a lawnmower within a minute. They can concentrate on a high-energy vocal range of 10-year-olds, so it’s pretty neat.Sony headphones

Sony wireless headphones Battery life

A significant highlight of the Sony WH-CH710N headphones is Hole’s battery life. Its sound should last about 35 hours on a single charge with cancellation and up to 200 hours in standby mode. After listening to them for eight hours to three days, I did not hear any low battery warning. You can expect that the charge will last for a few days, maybe even a week or even a few days. Sony says they will have an hourly fee after only 10 minutes of being connected to a power source. However, it takes about seven hours to charge fully.

Final verdict

The Sony WH-CH710N has all the elements that make the Sony WH-1000XM3 so successful. They offer noise-cancelling and good sound quality while looking entirely professional. These are about half the price of Sony’s flagship headphones and better than many non-HD headphones. They have a long battery life which allows them to go for several days without the need to recharge. Of course, you can find better headphones for a slightly lower price – similar to the JBL Tune 750BTNC. But the Sony WH-CH710N is unique, especially since they come from a large, well-known company like Sony. Know more headphone reviews Jabra elite active 75t review
